Here’s a day excursion to look forward to, the majestic-with GRADE 1 listed status RIPON CATHEDRAL in North Yorkshire. While this is a perfect opportunity to visit this magnificent cathedral you can also get some Christmas Shopping done as well, as the Seasonal Food and Gift Fair is here today. This vibrant living church of St. Peter & St. Wilfrid more commonly known as Ripon Cathedral which has an unbroken history reaching back to the 7th century, with the original stone church founded as a monastery by monks of the Irish tradition, while the present building is the 4th on this site, being re-built in the 13th & 16th century & is an amazing example of gothic & anglo-saxon architecture, not be missed.
