After a hearty breakfast on Monday we will say good-bye to Scarborough and head over to the equally stunning seaside town of WHITBY where the day is your own to explore. Whitby split by the River Esk on the East cliff, overlooking the North sea, the ruined Gothic Whitby Abbey was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for his Dracula novels. Nearby is St. Mary’s church reached by 199 steps. Check out the Captain Cook memorial museum, the West Cliff beach huts, picturesque harbour, lovely beaches and the best fish and chips around.
